Cindy Glass, Studio Owner

From the first moment Cindy enters the practice room you know you are in for a strong high energy class and will feel her enthusiasm for Bikram Yoga. This enthusiasm will motivate and challenge you to give your best each and every time you practice. In her classes, you will laugh, sweat and be encouraged to keep a smile on your face. Through compassion and understanding she will inspire you to perform 100% the right way to achieve 100% benefits for your body and mind.

Cindy completed her teacher training in Hawaii in the Spring of 2007. She has returned to teacher training in Acapulco and Desert Palms to assist in posture clinics and teaching the new “teachers in training”. Cindy has also attended five Bikram Yoga seminars, two of which were lead by Bikram himself. She loves to travel and has visited over 25 Bikram Yoga studios, being a guest teacher at four Bikram Yoga studios.

Cindy is also a graduate of the Medical Arts Massage School in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a North Carolina Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist offering Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release, myofascial release, hot stone, sports and chair massage sessions.

When Cindy is not teaching, practicing or offering massage therapy sessions, she spends time with her husband, John and twins, Nikki and Jonathan in Myrtle Beach boating and relaxing.

Cheryl Adnet

After years of passing by my local Bikram Yoga studio, I finally opened the studio door and started a new chapter of my life. My daughter, a former dancer, was practicing yoga in Asheville, NC and she urged me to try it. Ironically, my first class was on her birthday, May 24. Unlike other teachers, it was not love at first class for me. In fact, if my yoga teacher had allowed me to flee the hot room, as I had intended, I would probably not be telling my story now. Oddly enough, I was compelled to consistently return to practice yoga. Despite the difficult postures and the heat, I felt so good afterwards. After fourteen months of yoga the metamorphosis of my whole being influenced my decision to deepen my practice, and share this healing yoga with everyone possible. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my natural and professional instinct is to help others help themselves. I completed the Bikram’s Teacher Training in the fall of 2011 in Los Angeles. This yoga practice is challenging, and every class, and every posture is a new and different experience everyday. However, the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of Bikram Yoga are worth every drop of sweat.

Jenny Fanjoy

Jenny is fairly new to yoga. She began her practice in May 2008 and was bitten by the yoga bug on the very first day. She packed her bags for Spring 2009 Bikram Teacher Training in Palm Springs, California just two weeks shy of her one year first yoga class anniversary. She returned from training in June 2009 and has been teaching regularly at Bikram Yoga Raleigh.

Jenny loves all things Harry Potter and is obsessed with the Twilight books. She also cannot get enough of Lost on ABC. Her new hobby is making super healthful vitamin and fiber rich soups. Jenny lives in Raleigh with her husband Tom (also a Bikram devotee) and their four children.

Prior to teaching Bikram yoga, I worked as a chef in 4 star restaurants in New York and San Francisco.  After 16 years in the kitchen, I began to experience chronic stiff necks and painful pinched nerves in my shoulders and elbows.  Thanks to a chiropractors advice, I began practicing Bikram yoga in 2000.

After months of hard work and patience, the pain began to melt away!  I also
experienced all the positive mental and emotional benefits of the yoga as well.
I continued to practice for six years in San Francisco before going to teacher
training in the spring of 2006 in Los Angeles.

I began teaching in San Francisco, Oakland, Napa and Sonoma, California from 2006 to 2009.  In 2010, I moved to Salt Lake City, and taught in the Sugarhouse, Sandy and Ogden, Utah studios.  In 2011, I moved to Florida and taught in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine studios.  In November, I headed north towards a cooler climate and am happy to be teaching in Raleigh, North Carolina.

I look forward to teaching each and every class encouraging others to improve their lives through the practice of Bikram yoga.

Now the chiropractor comes to me!!

Olga

I spent almost fifteen years homeschooling and raising my fourteen year old son and sixteen year old daughter. We drove by the Bikram Yoga studio almost everyday ON THE WAY to their activities, grocery store and various other errands. “I wonder what’s going on in there?,” I always asked myself. Finally (April 2009), I succumbed to my curiosity, as the kids were older and wanting to ‘get mom out of the house’. I bought a ‘one-week’ unlimited pass and the rest is history. My first class was ‘hell’ yet I could not wait to return. And return I did---every day!

Bikram Hot Yoga is a sanctuary. I find quiet, peace and healing. When I practice Bikram, I pray, meditate and, simply---stop thinking.

In December 2011, life presented me with an opportunity to attend Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles. I acted on this opening and spent nine intense weeks absorbing everything that Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, Emmy Cleaves, and the various international professionals (doctors, teachers, authors, physicist, scientists) taught me.

As a Certified Professional Co-Active Life Coach, Bikram Yoga resonates with my natural instinct is to help others help themselves. This yoga practice is challenging, and every class, and every posture is a new and different experience everyday. You get to spend over ninety minutes with your ultimate teacher---yourself. Through this practice there is healing. As Bikram Choudhury says, “Where Medical Science ends, Yoga Therapy begins.”

I am blessed to do what I love and know that a regular practice of Bikram Yoga is life transforming! My personal practice is as often as possible (everyday!). It brings me balance, strength and sanity; Bikram is my LIFELINE!

One more thing----What is the most important thing in your life?
Answer---YOUR LIFE

When you take care of yourself; the care that you give those around you (family, friends, others) is unlimited.

See you in the HOT ROOM!
